The main objective of JAAS is to annually bring together researchers from the fields of sound engineering, acoustics, psychoacoustics, audio electronics, and recording sciences, among others. It aims to connect participants with international researchers, professors, professionals in the field, and advanced students from related programs.
JAAS provides an ideal environment to present the latest findings and discuss original contributions, exchange ideas, issues, new developments, experiences, and advances in the discipline. Each year, the Conference emphasizes plenary lectures in the areas of interest, sequentially complemented by oral and poster presentations following a conference/congress format.
In parallel, joint meetings are held between professors/researchers, professionals in the field, and postgraduate students to disseminate, communicate, and transfer acquired knowledge and experiences, as well as to give them the opportunity to be part of an event that encourages them to continue developing the discipline. Related companies will also participate, presenting the latest innovations in measurement instruments, equipment, and material products, aiming to connect industry with the academic field.
